Conference Review
The 2025 International Conference on Intelligent Manufacturing, Robotics and Automation (IMRA 2025) was successfully held from November 14 to 16, 2025 in Zhanjiang, China. The conference was organized by Guangdong Ocean University, co-organized by the School of Mechanical Engineering of Guangdong Ocean University and the Provincial and Municipal Joint Construction Key Laboratory of South China Sea Marine Ranching Intelligent Equipment, with support from multiple universities and institutions, and technical support from the IEEE Guangzhou Section and RDLink.
Under the theme "Leading Intelligent Manufacturing Upgrades with Cutting-edge Technologies," the conference focused on how intelligent manufacturing, robotics, and automation technologies are reshaping industrial landscapes through the integration of AI, IoT, and big data. The conference aimed to build an international academic exchange platform, bringing together top global scholars, researchers, and industry experts to discuss key technologies in productivity improvement, cost optimization, and safety system construction.

Distinguished professors from Changchun University of Technology, Harbin University of Science and Technology, Huaqiao University, and Southwest Jiaotong University delivered cutting-edge presentations covering nickel-based superalloy machining, high-speed motorized spindle thermal error control, silicon carbide substrate processing, and atomic-scale material removal technologies.
🤖 Robotics & Control Forum
The afternoon session featured an invited talk by Associate Professor Ma Chi from Chongqing University on thermal error compensation. Young scholars presented innovative research on intelligent robotic sanding of wind turbine blades, AR-assisted assembly, underwater target detection, and more.
🏆 Awards & Poster Session
The conference presented awards for outstanding research achievements. A full-day poster display area provided participants with flexible and ample opportunities for academic interaction and networking.
